VIRAL POP STAR OLIVER TREE KILLED IN RIO HELICOPTER COLLISION

A horrific mid-air aviation disaster in Brazil has claimed the lives of six people, including 32-year-old American alternative pop singer and internet phenomenon Oliver Tree Nickell.

The Rio de Janeiro Civil Police and Aeronautical Accident authorities confirmed that the disaster occurred on Sunday morning over the coastal neighborhood of Recreio dos Bandeirantes in Rio’s Southwest Zone.

According to eyewitness footage and security camera feeds that spread rapidly across social media, two helicopters—a Bell 206B JetRanger III and an Aérospatiale AS 350B2 Ecureuil—were flying in close proximity when they clipped each other mid-flight. One of the aircraft was reportedly en route to the coastal resort of Angra dos Reis, while the other was maneuvering near a local refueling zone

Following the collision, the Bell helicopter exploded on impact, plummeting directly into the outdoor parking lot of an electric vehicle (EV) dealership. The wreckage ignited a massive, toxic blaze that completely engulfed roughly 20 parked electric vehicles. Local firefighters noted that extinguishing the lithium-battery-fueled fire required nearly four times the volume of water used in standard automotive blazes. The second aircraft crashed roughly 100 meters away with its landing gear facing upward. There were no survivors from either aircraft.

Aboard the primary aircraft alongside Oliver Tree were prominent members of his creative circle, including;

Gaspar Prim (known online as 'Gaspi'), a massively popular Argentine YouTuber and streamer.
Lucas A. Vignale, a celebrated Argentine music video director and screenwriter.
Lucas Brito Chaves, a well-known Brazilian music producer.
Pilots Alexandre Souza and Charles Marsillac were also killed in the line of duty

Oliver Tree was in the midst of his World’s First World Tour supporting his latest album, having just played a packed venue in São Paulo on June 6. Tributes have flooded the internet from global collaborators; Canadian rapper bbno$ expressed that his "heart was shattered," while American singer Melanie Martinez shared her profound heartbreak over losing someone who defined a deeply significant chapter of her life. The Brazilian Air Force's CENIPA unit has locked down the wreckage radius to determine the exact breakdown in air traffic coordination.
