Tears as Nollywood legend Ogogo is laid to rest

On Monday, tears were shed in Ilaro, Ogun State, as the remains of the esteemed Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan, widely known as Ogogo, were transported to his final resting place.

The atmosphere was filled with emotion as family, friends, colleagues, and sympathizers gathered to partake in the burial rites of the 66-year-old actor.

A video captured during the funeral procession depicted mourners carrying Ogogo's remains as they proceeded to the burial site, adhering to Islamic customs.

Among the attendees was Yinka Quadri, a close friend and colleague of Ogogo, who was visibly distraught, crying uncontrollably while others tried to offer him comfort.

This poignant scene illustrated the profound sorrow felt by the actor's colleagues and loved ones as they said their final goodbyes.

Numerous Nollywood actors, including Jide Kosoko, Faithia Balogun, Femi Adebayo, Mr. Latin, and Toyosi Adesanya, had previously arrived in Ilaro to pay their respects at the burial.

Also in attendance were Ireti Osayemi and Bisi Omo Logbalogba, along with other colleagues, family members, and well-wishers.

Actor Bola Oyin-Adejobi also honored Ogogo during an interview with journalists prior to the burial, offering prayers for the deceased to achieve Al-Jannah Firdaus.
