‘It was shocking’, Lateef Adedimeji opens up on discovering triplets pregnancy

Nollywood star and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji has opened up about the emotional rollercoaster of discovering that his wife, actress Adebimpe Oyebade (popularly known as Mo Bimpe), was pregnant with triplets. Describing the moment as a mix of intense shock and deep gratitude, the actor revealed that the news came far beyond what the couple had imagined.

The revelation follows the couple’s joyful announcement in May 2026 that they had welcomed three baby boys—nearly five years after their high-profile wedding in December 2021.

Speaking in a candid interview with media personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown on *Your View*, Adedimeji detailed the moment the multi-pregnancy was confirmed, admitting that it initially left him stunned.

The actor shared that because they had anticipated starting a family for years, the pregnancy journey became a period of complete devotion. He noted that he made it a priority to pamper his wife throughout the duration, though he commended her resilience. "When you've been up and expecting, and then it now finally happened, you will pamper her, but she's a strong woman," he added.

The arrival of the triplets—whom Adedimeji proudly refers to as his "three kings"—serves as a triumphant milestone for the celebrity couple. Since their star-studded nuptials, the duo had frequently found themselves under intense public scrutiny and societal pressure regarding parenthood.

Mo Bimpe had previously spoken out against insensitive comments from social media trolls who targeted her over the delay in childbirth, firmly stating she refused to let external negativity dictate her peace.

By keeping their journey private until the birth, Adedimeji noted that the quiet period was essential for "building and protecting" his family.

With the newborns safely home in Nigeria following a warm reception from friends and colleagues at the airport, Adedimeji hinted that the family might not be entirely complete just yet.

Acknowledging that raising three boys will take immense effort, he jokingly suggested that a daughter might be on the wishlist down the line. "Everything is in God's hands because they are boys. I know my wife will love to have a female, so we can do one more round, maybe," he concluded with a smile.
